Mr. Victor Kablan Nyianyi is an accomplished educationist with a specialization in French and English teaching and educational administration. He has been a teacher of a very high professional status with over thirty-five years in practice. He studied for a Bachelor of Education degree in French and English Education at the then University College of Education, Winneba. Subsequently, he pursued post-graduate courses (M.Ed.) Master of Education Administration and (M.Phil.) Master of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration all of which were obtained at the University of Cape Coast, former Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA).
He started his professional teaching career as a class teacher, teaching all subjects across the curriculum, then shifted to teaching English and French as special subjects in many public secondary schools in Ghana. While teaching French and English, he became an examiner in the French Language at the BECE and the SSCE / WASSCE with WAEC for several years.
He served in various senior positions including head of languages dept. of many schools, assistant headmaster (academic), supervised teaching and learning, and managed students’ internal and external assessments. He was one of the few Lead inspectors selected to start the operations of the National Inspectorate Board (NIB) an agency of the Ministry of Education, which name has currently changed.
His training capabilities, supervisory and administrative brilliance became so radiant when he served as the Deputy Director in charge of the Human Resource Management and Development Unit of the Ga-East Municipal Education Directorate, Abokobi – Accra. At the Ga-East Municipal Education Directorate, he offered tremendous service as the focal person, coordinating a UNICEF – District partnership program for improving education standards in 20 selected districts nationwide. There again his input was outstanding.
Mr. Kablan has been active in training workshops and so participated in many of them including an Executive Program in Leadership and Governance (2010), Regional Extractive Industries Knowledge (REIK), Hub Summer School on Governance of Oil, Gas, and Mining Revenue (GIMPA 2011), Training in Democracy Good Governance and Anti-Corruption. Les Aspin Center for Government – Washington D.C (2002). Course content included: Good Governance, Anti-Corruption, Conflict Management, Democracy and Education, Women Empowerment, Health, and Trade All the aforementioned training activities impacted positively on his vision, and worked as a teacher, public servant, mentor, coach, supervisor, and administrator, helping to grow the institutions he worked in.
Until accepting the position of Principal in CPA, Mr. Kablan had been a senior tutor at the College of Distance Education (CoDE) at the University of Cape Coast, facilitating various courses such as English Syntax, African Literature, Varieties of English Literature, and (OCTP) On Campus Teaching Practice mentor and supervisor.
